Go to the University Software Downloads page and download the 'IBM SPSS Statistics' link. Take note of where your web browser will download the.zip file so that you can access it after the download completes. The University Software Downloads page is accessible through support.apu.edu but is also directly linked above. So I have a question if anyone know of the link for a free trial version of SPSS for Macbook pro 10.6.8. Comparison of versions 18-21 for Mac OS 10.5-10.8. SPSS - where to download one for macbook pro that works More Less.

Apple will transition the Mac to its own custom silicon, based on ARM architecture, over the next 2 years. The M1 chip is the first in a family of processors to become available for Mac computers with Apple silicon. Apple will support Mac computers with Intel processors for many years after the transition to Apple silicon is complete.
Apple silicon is a complete change of architecture which requires some applications to be compiled specifically for ARM. The majority of University software and related services available to staff and students is not yet compatible with these computers.
This includes standard software, security and endpoint protection, VPN and multi-factor support for accessing services such as ADAPT, Office 365, Email and Adobe Creative Cloud.
ITDS will be testing supported applications as a priority when they become available. Regular updates will be posted to the Mac and macOS Software Compatibility section above.
It is recommended to purchase an Intel based Mac computer or wait for support to become available before purchasing a Mac with Apple silicon.
End of life macOS
macOS High Sierra – End of Support, October 2020
Apple has ended support for macOS 10.13 High Sierra and will no longer receive security updates or support for standard University software. These systems will be subject to restricted or disabled network and service access. We highly recommend upgrading your macOS version immediately.
macOS Mojave – End of Support, October 2021
Apple will end support for macOS 10.14 Mojave late 2021, which will mark the end of support for 32-bit software. If you rely on older apps that have been abandoned by developers, we recommend you start exploring alternative options soon.
macOS 11 Big Sur
macOS Big Sur is the current supported operating system installed on all new Mac computers and free to upgrade to on most current model Macs. We recommend all Mac users review our Changes to macOS website for a summary of important changes that affect users with older software.
How to upgrade
University Owned Mac: Ensure you are enrolled in Mac Self Service and follow the Upgrade to macOS self-help guide.
Personally Owned Mac: Please refer to Apple's How to Upgrade guide.

Windows
Windows 10 is installed on all new Windows devices and is available to upgrade to on most current model computers.
The University of Adelaide offers software to suit Windows 10 only. We recommend upgrading to Windows 10 where possible as there is limited or no support for older Windows versions.
End of life Windows
As of January 14th 2020, Microsoft will no longer be providing Windows 7 with security updates or support. This will leave Windows 7 machines vulnerable to security risks and viruses. We highly recommend upgrading to Windows 10 before this date. The majority of University devices are already running Windows 10 and as a result, we expect minimal disruption.
All computers not upgraded after Windows 7 support ends will be considered unsupported and represent a significant security vulnerability. These systems may be subject to restricted or disabled network and service access. Please visit our Windows 7 End of Support website for more information.
End of life software
There is a number of popular free and University supplied software applications that have a limited or end of life status and are no longer receiving security updates. Many of these titles have an increasing number of security vulnerabilities and should be removed.
Information Technology and Digital Services will contact affected staff with options to remove or upgrade the following list of titles in use by staff on University computers:
- Adobe Acrobat Pro XI and older
- Adobe Reader XI and older
- Adobe Creative Suite 6 and older
- Adobe Creative Cloud 2017 and older

Consider checking with the University's IT Department or Bookstore to see if they have a relation with some of the retailers of academic version software such as OntheHub.
